Temperature Variability Over Urban, Town, and Rural Areas: The Case of Pakistan

This study investigates the evolution of temperatures at several locations in Pakistan. Data on annual and seasonal minimum (Tn) maximum (Tx) from 1950 to 2013 urban (16 stations), town (11 rural (nine stations) areas are analysed establish mean decadal rate change urban, town, temperatures. The homogeneity data was assessed using HOMER 2.6. To measure temporal intensity temperature, were split into two different periods: 1950–1981 (P1, phase less urbanization) 1982–2013 (P2, highly urbanized period) separately for both phases 32 years each. per decade changes (dTna dTxa, respectively) over most stations show an increase trends dTn dTx observed during P2 significantly higher than those P1. is more significant that it also stations.
